BELKYRA™

BELKYRA™ (Known as Kybella® in the United States) has been used by physicians in Canada since 2015.

BELKYRA™ (known as Kybella® in the United States) is made of deoxycholic acid. At Concept Medical in Ottawa, all BELKYRA™ treatments are provided exclusively by our qualified physicians and never delegated to non-physician staff members. Due to Health Canada compliance laws, we are unable to provide more information online. Please call us to discuss BELKYRA™ further.

Studies show that about 80% of men and women who have excessive fat under their chin area are bothered by it. To determine if you are a candidate for BELKYRA™, please call us to schedule your consultation.

The first step to your BELKYRA™ treatment in Ottawa is a consultation with one of our physicians. Your detailed consultation ensures your BELKYRA™ treatment is tailored to your desired results. Prior to a BELKYRA™ treatment, an area is marked under your chin with an erasable white pencil. An ice pack is then provided to help chill the skin prior to BELKYRA™. Anesthetic or freezing is not required, as treatment consists of a number of small and precise injections into the fat layer under the chin. On average, 2-4 treatment sessions are required to see optimal results.

Following treatment, patients often experience some fullness and tenderness of the treated area as BELKYRA™ works. Most patients require more than one treatment for noticeable results. Due to Health Canada compliance laws, we are unable to provide more information online. Please call us to discuss BELKYRA™ further.

At Concept Medical, in Ottawa, only our experienced and trained physicians will perform your BELKYRA™ treatment. BELKYRA™ treatments and other cosmetic injectables, such as Juvéderm (filler) and Botox, are never performed by a non-physician staff member.
